Reconoce Luis Michel la labor de la Armada de México

A 200 años de su creación.

El alcalde vallartense exaltó los valores de lealtad y compromiso que mantiene esta noble institución al servicio de la patria.

El presidente municipal, Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez, expresó su profundo reconocimiento a las mujeres y hombres de mar, que enaltecen y salvaguardan la soberanía nacional a través de sus valores de patriotismo y lealtad, ello al inaugurar junto a autoridades navales, la Exposición Conmemorativa a los 200 años de la Armada de México, en el patio central de la presidencia.

El alcalde vallartense, señaló que se trata de una fecha especial, que da cuenta de la creación y evolución de una honorable institución que protege los intereses marítimos de México, “un bicentenario que nos convoca a la unión y al amor por nuestro país, a través del ejemplo de quienes tienen el poder y el resguardo de nuestros mares, es por eso que sin lugar a dudas, son orgullo de México”.

El Vicealmirante C.G.D.E.M. José Manuel Pomares Contreras, comandante de la 8ª Zona Naval, resaltó que el propósito de esta muestra, que integra además el arte pictórico y literario de creadores locales, busca exhibir y difundir los orígenes de esta noble institución, haciendo tangibles los hechos históricos en los que ha participado la Armada de México y el papel de integración que ha mantenido, así como la convivencia con la población.

Ambas autoridades, acompañadas por el Contralmirante C.G.D.E.M. César Olivares Acosta, cortaron el listón inaugural y recorrieron esta exposición, en donde recibieron obras del pintor Luis Butrón que plasman la tradición de la Marina, así como los aspectos culturales que distinguen a Jalisco. También recibieron por parte de la directora de la Biblioteca Los Mangos, un ejemplar del libro ‘Puerto Vallarta en mis Recuerdos’, de doña Catalina Montes de Oca.

Previamente, en las instalaciones de la 8ª Zona Naval, se efectuó el acto oficial conmemorativo a los ‘200 años de la Armada de México’, el cual fue encabezado por el Vicealmirante José Manuel Pomares Contreras y al que acudió en representación del primer edil vallartense, el director de Seguridad Ciudadana, Capitán Luis Fernando Muñoz Ortega.

El Vicealmirante Pomares Contreras, fue el encargado de dar lectura al mensaje emitido por el alto mando de la Secretaría de Marina, recordando que este 2021, las y los mexicanos han conmemorado una serie de eventos de gran relevancia histórica que han exaltado la grandeza de México y con ello, la importancia de su pasado, su cultura y el presente que todos construimos.

Indicó que a lo largo de la historia, la institución ha priorizado la salvaguarda de la vida humana en la mar, así como el apoyo a la población civil en caso de desastres y ayuda humanitaria, brindando auxilio en los momentos más apremiantes a través del Plan Marina, lo que representan dos siglos de una entrega absoluta por conservar la libertad y la soberanía, velando por la paz y el bienestar del país.

En este tiempo, también han cumplido cabalmente con la misión de garantizar el ejercicio de la soberanía nacional en el mar, preservar la integridad del territorio y mantener el orden constitucional del estado mexicano, por lo que en esta fecha tan significativa, se congratulan de ser una armada bicentenaria, una de las instituciones más antiguas y solidas de la nación, reconociendo la labor de cada marino naval que ha contribuido con su esfuerzo, profesionalismo y entrega a su fortalecimiento.

Both authorities, accompanied by Rear Admiral C.G.D.E.M. César Olivares Acosta, cut the opening ribbon and toured this exhibition, where he received works by the painter Luis Butrón that reflect the tradition of the Navy, as well as the cultural aspects that distinguish Jalisco. He also received part of the management of the Los Mangos Library, a copy of the book «Puerto Vallarta in my Memories», by Catalina Montes de Oca.

During this time, they have also fully fulfilled the mission of guaranteeing the exercise of national sovereignty in the sea, preserving the integrity of the territory and maintaining the constitutional order of the Mexican state, so on this very significant date, they are pleased to be a bicentennial navy, one of the oldest and most solid institutions in the nation, recognizing the work of each naval sailor who has contributed their effort, professionalism and dedication to it’s strengthening.
